Apple cider pork loin is a great dish for Fall when you can get fresh apples from the local orchards. You can also make it year round since we do have apples in the stores :). It is a perfect dish for your slow cooker. You can put it in the crock pot and let it do all the work. The cider and apples give it a subtle, not over powering flavor that is just delicious. The raisins add additional savory flavor and a hint of sweetness.
I used a Fuji apples as they are a great baking apple and soften well when cooked. You can also use granny smith apples as well or your favorite baking apple.
Once the apple cider pork loin is done, you can also take the liquid from the slow cooker and reduce it down for a nice glaze over your pork loin as well.
This could be served with mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and some warm bread and green beans. A delicious alternative to turkey at Thanksgiving or Christmas as well.

- Pork Loin
- 3 cups Apple Cider
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 apple cut into slices
- Place the pork loin in the slow cooker (or pressure cooker)
- Add the apple cider.
- Add the raisins on top of in the cider, place the apple ontop of the pork loin.
- Cook 6-8 hours until it pulls apart easily.
- Serve and enjoy.
