When you think of Cedar Point, you think of the thrilling rides and the awesome coasters. If that wasn’t enough, the park transforms at the end of September into a really spooktacular place. The entire park is decorated for Fall and Halloween, during what they call Halloweekends.
Frightfully a scream
Events this year include Blood on the Bayou, Cornstalkers and Cutthroat Cove just to name a few. If you love a good thrill you will want to check it out when it gets dark.
That is also when you can find the living dead roaming the park. You will see the Zombies roaming the park, so be on the look out. Unless you have a no boo necklace, be prepared to be scared by the walking dead.
If you are at the park when it gets dark, it’s even more eerie and ghoulish.
Still family friendly
Check the schedule, but there is a parade that happens for the kids, the kids activities include trick or treating and a few on hands activities in the park for a little candy. Kids can even dress up in costumes if they wish, but it is not required.
What my kids seemed to enjoy most was the bubbles. We have experienced HalloWeekends for 3 years and we always end up at the bubbles more than once. It’s a great way for the kids to get clean. They do measure to make sure you can go in. I was too tall and I think it may be the last year for my kids as well.
HalloWeekends is only open on the weekends starting mid September until Halloween. Make plans to come on over to Sandusky Ohio and get your thrills and have fun with the entire family at Cedar Point.
