We moved this year, so I made Christmas cards with notes to my closest friends and said hey we moved, here’s our address.
I got 3 cards this year. T-H-R-E-E.
There are factors that could have caused this.
- The post office didn’t forward our mail (this has happened on many occassions since we moved and I am soon to know the postmaster by name).
- The people who live in our old house opened our mail (and yes we have received opened mail that was shoved in my parents mailbox because they lived down the road) 2 Federal crimes mind you.
- People just didn’t send me cards.
It reminds me of my husband’s aunt. She hand painted every Christmas card she made. In order to get a Christmas card from her, you had to send one to her. She was always the first person we sent cards to. I wish we had more cards than we do.
I have no choice but to stop sending Christmas cards that I painstackingly make, buy Christmas cards or just stop sending cards to people who don’t send cards back.
So far my Christmas card list consists of 3 people for 2016.
Sending a message on Facebook to the masses, is not enough for me.
Am I the only one who had this happen to them? Why are people so anti-sending Christmas cards?
