This takes 2-3 days to complete AFTER you get the supplies.
What you’ll need:
Letters to spell out the teachers name (I used 3-4″ letters.
Piece of wood long enough to hold the letters (I used a 1″ x4″, cut to length and sanded on the ends)
Desired paint colors (we used black. blue and a lime green acrylic paints)
Paint the wood and allow to dry, give a second coat, being sure to get the edges and allow to dry. The kids can help with this too. (we painted on top of a collapsed box)
Parents to do: Put the letters on the board and see how the need to be spaced BEFORE you glue them down. Start from the middle and work out so it’s centered.
Apply a light coat of glue on the back of the letters and line them up evenly on the board. Allow to dry.
IF you get too much glue, allow to dry and then paint over it.
Touch up paint as needed.
To make a smaller version, use smaller letters.
This can have wall fasteners connected to it, or just leave it as wood and allow the teacher decide how she wants to display it.
